SCR Altach, an Austrian Bundesliga football club from Vorarlberg, plays its home games at the Schnabelholz Stadium. The new Business Club was added as part of a targeted expansion of the stadium’s facilities.
On match days, the Business Club serves as a VIP area and houses the changing rooms for both teams, including showers. The venue is also used beyond match days and can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, making it suitable for a wide range of events. There’s also a publicly accessible physiotherapy practice with a gym, integrated sanitary installations and a commercial kitchen. The facilities serve a wide range of purposes, but usage varies significantly.
To ensure drinking water hygiene under these conditions, Stolz chose Geberit Connect. The solution ensures standards-compliant operation, reduces monitoring effort and enables transparent documentation of operating parameters.

The brief Drinking water hygiene and operational safety with fluctuating use
How much the sanitary installations around the stadium area are used varies significantly: During events, there’s high demand, but during downtimes, the systems are only used sporadically. However, the physio and fitness areas experience more consistent use.
These different usage patterns cause significant variations in flow rates and water consumption across the large building.
The challenge was to ensure consistently high drinking water quality in the building – even with fluctuating use and extended periods of inactivity.

The club found the perfect solution for the various areas of use and applications. All sanitary areas were equipped with Geberit hygiene flush units, which automatically activate based on actual usage, ensuring drinking water hygiene. Geberit Connect ensures that all areas are centrally connected and monitored.
Targeted flushes in all areas
- The canteen kitchen uses two Geberit HS50 hygiene flush units.
- They are integrated directly into the concealed cisterns in the sanitary facilities.
- Placing each unit at the end of a pipe section ensures that the entire section is flushed.
